NEWS TIAD has received the “4 Gyoikou Sakura” certification under the Sakura Quality An ESG Practice international certification

On Monday, August 26, 2024, TIAD, Autograph Collection received the "4 Gyoikou Cherry Blossom" certification under the "Sakura Quality An ESG Practice" international certification for Japan domestic accommodation facilities implementing the SDGs.

Sakura Quality empathizes with the service ideal that embodies “spiritual beauty,” the floriographic significance of sakura (cherry blossoms).
It is a title and mark given to accommodation facilities that follow the concepts of safety, security, and sincerity.

In order to fulfill the above service ideal and concepts so that travelers from all over the world can enjoy a safe and comfortable journey,
the quality certification standard places high importance on safety and security, and provides quality information presented at multiple layers depending on the level of security, which itself has multiple psychological layers.

Certified accommodation facilities make every effort to maintain this standard. In that sense, Sakura Quality strongly supports the country's tourism industry and lodging market by introducing beautifully decorated accommodation facilities.

◆Reducing plastic waste
・Guest rooms feature amenities made from environmentally friendly materials (hairbrushes, toothbrushes, mineral water bottles, etc.).
・Paper straws are used in the hotel's dining facilities.

◆Consideration for CO2 emissions
・We offer a bicycle rental service and suggest transportation methods that emit less CO2.
・When cleaning rooms for consecutive nights, bed linens are changed every other day, as a rule, in order to reduce CO2 emissions and protect water resources.

◆Restoring ecosystems and nature and using them in a sustainable way
・Duvets and pillows in guest rooms use animal-free, sustainable artificial feathers made from discarded corn cobs.

◆Coexistence with the local community
・Every month, we conduct cleanup activities in the hotel's neighborhood, such as Hisaya Odori Park and Yabacho Subway Station.
・We incorporate Aichi's traditional craft, "Arimatsu Shibori," into the hotel's interior.
・We offer banquet and restaurant menus incorporating locally produced ingredients and hold food and beverage events focusing on local foods.

◆Commitment to fairness and equality
・We promote the employment of foreigners with an understanding of gender and their characteristics and are working to create an environment where everyone can thrive regardless of nationality, age, or gender.

◆Sustainable urban development
・The architectural design based on the concept of "Biophilia Nest" won the Aichi Townscape Architecture Award in February 2024 and is recognized as a building that contributes to forming a good townscape and developing a vibrant town.
